Course Overview

This course is designed to equip caregivers with essential skills for providing high-quality and compassionate care to older individuals. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of hygiene, infection control, pain assessment, vital sign measurement, medication administration, and the promotion of a meaningful and enriched life for the elderly.

Learning Objectives

• Understand the important of hygiene and infection control
• Perform the steps of hand hygiene
• Evaluate and assess the pain levels of older individuals using a ‘Pain Chart.’
• Perform measurement of vital signs
• Understand the 5 Rights of administering medication
• Enhance the quality of life for older persons by facilitating and engaging older person with meaningful activities.
