Course Overview
This course is about equipping learners with the knowledge and skills to communicate effectively with clients, families and caregivers and community care teams. The course begins by teaching learners on communication principles and how to use appropriate techniques to relate to stakeholders on nursing care plans, goals and individual care plans as outcomes are very important for it often involves disclosing sensitive or confidential information.
This module will cover the following:
- Apply therapeutic techniques in facilitating person-centred communication
- Incorporate ethical and legal considerations in communicating
- Conduct effective clinical handover

The full course fee is $280.00 (before GST).
For learners working in eligible community care organisations (CCOs), the course fee subsidy is as follows:
