SLEC Residences: A Home Away from Home

We serve the community through two residences (nursing homes) in Ang Mo Kio and Punggol, providing long-term stay in care for seniors with higher care needs, including assistance with daily living activities and nursing care.

We support seniors through the following services, including:

Assistance with activities of daily living such as feeding, toileting and showering
Nursing care, including wound management and nasogastric tube management
Physical, social, and recreational activities, including maintenance exercises and outings
Memory care and support

Our care approach includes:

Empowering independence: Each household is equipped with kitchen appliances, enabling elders to prepare their own tea breaks and snacks.
Easing the transition from home: Elders are encouraged to wear their own clothes, with in-house laundry services provided.
Creating a familiar, comfortable space: Accommodations are thoughtfully designed around household settings and shared spaces such as day rooms, living rooms and garden areas. A variety of spaces are also integrated throughout the Residence to support different levels of activity, social interaction and engagement.
Bringing comfort through food: Dining includes home-style meals and local hawker favourites, with elders enjoying an enhanced presentation of blended food.
Encouraging active and meaningful living: A variety of health and social programmes are available to support both well-being and engagement.
