Course Overview
Healing Wounds, Changing Lives. A wound is a skin breakdown range from minor to serious non healing wounds. Early detection means Early Intervention. Join this course to be equipped with Art and Science of wound care knowledge and skills, to meet the needs for the elders in the community.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will :
- Advance the knowledge and skills of clinical practices in skin and wound care prevention and intervention, management and monitoring of skin breakdown and injuries.
- Deepen the knowledge of evidence-based approach to skin and wound management in maintaining skin integrity
- Increase the nurse’s skills and knowledge and understanding of the influence of nutrition on wound healing.

Ms Ler Yi Bin is a Dietitian.
Bachelor degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, ACTA-certified
Yi Bin has been providing nutrition care in the community since 2015. She finds passion in sharing her nutrition knowledge to the community through interactive and creative approach. She has been providing multiple nutrition health talks to different target groups and facilitate in different training sessions whereby the participants find her sessions enjoyable and insightful.
The full course is $327.00 (including prevailing GST). Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents and 45% for work pass holders working in eligible community care organisations.
